Fourth death in South Australia

A fourth person has died in South Australia after being diagnosed with Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza.

South Australian health officials report that the 25 year old man was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with underlying medical conditions on 19 July, and died yesterday evening [22 July].

The man’s death brings the national total of deaths from Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza to 44.

The SA health department report that the RAH has undertaken appropriate infection control procedures and practices to limit the spread and risk to other patients, visitors and staff.
