The total of confirmed H1N1 Influenza 09 cases in Australia as at 0500 AEST has increased to 878 with two new confirmed cases recorded in Queensland. The number of confirmed cases of H1N1 influenza 09 in Queensland has risen to 31. Of the two latest cases one is a student from Smithfield State High School in Cairns. The child did not attend school while infectious, and there is no associated school closure. The other case is a young child from Blackwater. The child has not attended school since returning from Melbourne and becoming ill, and there is no associated school closure
